Any thoughts on Royall resonators?

I'm pretty sure that these are the same guitars that Republic sells under their branding (see examples below). Other companies sell them as well, identical except for headstock logos.

I don't want to get into any brand-bashing here, but the two Republics I've bought (a tricone and a parlor singlecone) were so shoddily built that I returned them immediately.
