Some of my favorite Lightfoot songs:
First four from his 1971 album Summer Side of Life Three from the Sundown album: Flip side of the single If You Could Read My Mind. Red Shea on lead guitar--playing perfect accompaniment here. Rainy Day People--His last #1 US Billboard Adult Contemporary single, 1975.

Gordon had a very good run, but his passing still cuts. "Talking in your sleep" was the first song that I learned to play and sing. What a great talent.

Nice to see the mention for Red Shea, a fabulous guitarist and so much a part of Gord's sound in the early years. He also played with Ian and Sylvia and was a fixture on the Tommy Hunter TV show for many years. I even heard him sing a tune there once.
