Hello WWeise,

While I like the S1pro, it didn't do it for me as a stand alone. When I play and sing I need something that takes the 'weight' of projection off of me so I can focus on the subtleties of the performance. Especially as I age.

Makes a great monitor or bluetooth for music My opinion. Your mileage may vary.

I really like the amount of creativity the girls and boys at Bose put into their products.

They made the S1 Pro even lighter with the ‘Plus’.
You can control it at your fingertips now on your phone.
The input/FX loop jack is new to me and something special.
The integrated wireless might be very useful for some applications.

Still I prefer to have a Flow 8 mixer close to me, that can be controlled via an app as well and offers compression, parametric EQ, 2 FX and much more. It also has a quite flexible master EQ that helps the S1 Pro to sound better.

As long as the internal electronics don’t offer similar features, the above mentioned pluses of the ‘Plus’ will not motivate me to upgrade my four S1 Pros.
If I were buying new, I’d probably take the ‘Plus’.

I love the 70’s blue sparkle Ludwig set with the tee handles on the kick.
Do you still play out with that set?

Cheers, _RP

RogerPease, Yes still play out with it! Actually 1968 Gold Label. I call it my Ringo Kit. 70's kits had the green/blue badge.

Quick video narrating the spec differences between the S1 pro and S1 Pro plus. Comparing the two? Not so much. I fell for it.

I thought the same thing. Not even an actual S1 Pro Plus on hand to 'unveil'? Lame.
