I played a fellows 515 at a jam a few weeks ago. I really didn't want to give it back. That's the first Eastman mandolin I've played and it was very impressive. Plus you got a good deal!

I changed strings last night, switching over to the Martin Monel, 11-40, strings. They seem to move the wood more and give the tone more depth. I love the change.

Default New Mandolin Day

I haven’t bought one yet but was leaning towards the eastman 304 I believe that’s the model. I just want something that’s sounds and plays good since i don’t play out. Think I’d like the oval hole better but just don’t know being such a novice
