Well Folks, I've been too busy playin' her to post finished pics, but took a moment today to take a few (amateurish) ones to post. In brief, this little guitar is all I expected and more. Very well constructed, clean in and out, with a cool vintage vibe. However, the proof is in the puddin', as they say, and this guitar just plays great and has volume and resonance that belies its size. It is SO comfortable and just seems to melt into your arms. As for tone, it is just what a wanted...warm, woody, snappy and slightly compressed. It's just the perfect little blues-box and I'm super happy how it turned out! The fact that this is just Raymond's 8th guitar is beyond impressive. The future looks bright for this young and talented builder. If you like a very new-age artistic flair to your builds with unique inlays, etc., maybe Raymond isn't your guy; BUT, if you like a well crafted instrument in the classic sense, he just might be...
And my ugly--but happy--mug, which will you give you an idea of the guitar's size (I'm 5'10")...

Very beautiful looking instrument! Can you tell me about the thickness of the top? Is it thinner than a usual spruce top? Thanks.

I'm sorry, but I honestly don't know. The construction details (including thinning of the top) were completely entrusted to the builder. I am assuming he just thinned the top until he was satisfied with the tap tone. Whether or not that is thinner or thicker than spruce I can't answer. However, the thickness of the top is largely dependent on the individual characteristics of each set of wood, so I don't think there is a definitive answer to this.
