Default Mike Baranik on cover of acoustic magazine

Congrats to Mike Baranik. His guitars are breathtaking and they sound even better than they look!

Yea! Good for Mike. A great guy and a great builder. He and his work deserve all of the attention they can get.

I'll be playing my two tonight in the Larry Pattis/Peter Janson concert

I see the price is in British Pounds, so, is this magazine available in the US?

Smile Congrats Mike

Congratulations Mike. Well deserved. You make some of the best guitars in the world, and certainly the best value.

I play one of my two Baraniks almost every day.

Steve, yes Acousitc UK is available for subscription in the U.S. I'm a subscriber, but I haven't received this issue yet. Now I can't wait.

Who's Meridian is that on the cover? I love the top !!!

There are more photos here http://www.theacousticmusicco.co.uk/...k-guitars.html - you'll have to scroll down a bit, its the black and white ebony Meridian.

Someone's bought themselves a great guitar. My two are superlative.

Congratulations Mike!

It was a real pleasure to interview Mike for this, he's a genuinely nice guy, as well as a great builder. I also got to play the guitar featured on the cover and write a review of it, which will be published in a future issue of the magazine. For this edition I wrote a review of one of his Retreaux parlour guitars to accompany the interview.

There will be similar features on Gerald Sheppard and Michi Matsuda later in the year and, hopefully, one or two other makers too.

Hey Richard, if Mike spends any more time in the UK, you and Trevor will have to teach him cricket. Or maybe he'd be better at rugby union?

Looking forward to reading the articles.

Eric, thanks for posting that. Mike was interviewed while on my stand at The London Acoustic Guitar Show. Look out for future interviews (and front covers) with Gerald Sheppard and Michi Matsuda. It was great to have them all over here (Mike's second visit to TAMCO).

There is a link to the whole article in the reviews section on my website homepage.

The magazine will be available at NAMM for those going.

Trevor, where will the issue be available at NAMM? Down in hall E in that long magazine display?
