This is a start of a thread just for fun, if one is a classical or jazz & folk music listener, to compare notes.
Right now I’m listening to a jazz vinyl LP _Grant Green: Feelin’ The Spirit_ from c.1962 I’ll try to post more info about this record in a further post. How about you? |

As someone not overly fond of rats, I've been growing increasingly alarmed while listening to Lightnin' Hopkins in the company of short-haired women.

I picked up the Willie Dixon Chess Box set recently and I've kept it in heavy rotation... 36 of his songs preformed by him, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and a bunch of other blues legends... I love old school blues and this stuff just nails it...

I've been listening to the brand new Tommy Emmanuel/John Knowles duet record for the past couple of days.
In the car, Billy Joel's channel is back on Sirius/XM this month. Lots of monologues from him between the songs. I recently read his bio.

Lots of nice posts so far.
Grant Green’s first album as leader, ‘Grant’s First Stand’ from c.1961 is one of the very best jazz albums I’ve heard in my limited collection. Now listening to The Bill Evans Trio: Explorations |

Currently listening to both albums by Big Thief, plus the solo album by Adrianne Lenker, which (like any great music) just keep delivering the more I listen to them. Also loving the Lush album by Snail Mail, which is an incredibly good debut from one so young.
Oh, and Hayley Heynderickx (I think I got that right?!), who is a wonderful talent, as is Max Garcia Conover and the album they made together is sublime.

Blind Guardian. Just discovered them a couple of months ago and they're a fantastic power metal band out of Germany.
