Picture of an Everly Brothers guitar on another thread (it was designed that way to produce a "dry", somewhat muted tone) got me wondering if there was anything on line about their father, legendary guitar picker Ike Everly. The answer seems to be "not a whole lot", but here is a recording of him with Phil and Don at Newport, long ago.

It's not a video, it's a link to an article about Ike that includes an audio recording of the Newport show.

My Christmas present to the AGF!
![]() I'll throw this into the mix, it actually is a video, from a Johnny Cash Christmas special. Sound is, uh, not great, but kind of fun to watch Ike Everly and Mother Maybelle playing the same guitar. At the same time, that is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DoxwrSHKr0

I don't know but the brothers went to my high school so that is my high school's claim to fame. Besides me of course!
