Default Peace and Love

We need peace and love.
Individually, we need 'em.

In this world, you have to go to war to gain peace, and fight to be able to love.
Very very strange world, we are in.
But, at any rate, we truly need peace and love in our troubled world!!!

This song, I composed, is dedicated to my Grandson, Misiri Kalayaan!!!
All my love to you, and my peace I give you!!!

Very nice Rene!

Sweet song...

Was that a UW insignia on your hat?

All the best to you, Rene!

Liked it a bunch The Prosody of your specific voice tonality on this one, with the lyrics and playing is just great. In fact I wanted to pic along with you....

Please take this as just thought that popped in while listening to what I think is great song ... I would make one suggestion for a possible song writing consideration to think about (or not. ) And that would be to lose the phrase "Like a dove" (which to my producer "critics" ear,, is OK but sounds a bit like it might be more rhyme filler, than a lyrical contribution ??

And in the spirit of "Less is More" just go with "Don't let therm fly away"
I would consider figuring out a way to time and sustain more on "fly away" perhaps make --"away" more into A----way. And or maybe just say a double spoken "peace and love" and whispered "peace and love"
I and think it might have more impact because I think it may be the most important phrase in the song,, stands on its own and does not need to be "likened" to anything ..... Just my thought. So feel free to reject ......In any case great job .. Kev

Hi Rene,

I live out in the country, over near the coast of Washington state, about 140 miles from UW. One of my daughters took a summer class there at UW, so I was there to help her get settled and signed in. But that was 20 years ago. My children graduated from other universities in the state.

I recognized the big "W" on your hat, and thought the connection was interesting! Most people follow the Huskies out here unless they went to Washington State over in Pullman, WA. I have hired engineers from both UW and WSU, both excellent universities. I am a retired engineer; my degree was from Purdue U. in W. Lafayette, Indiana.

That's cool that your children graduated from UW.

- Glenn

Hi Kev,
I just want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the thought and expertise you are imparting to me!!!

1. "Like a dove" is truly a rhyme filler (I am not going to lie).
With your suggestion, I am going to change this sentence to:

" We have the power to change the human heart"

2. Instead of sticking to the idea of "don't let them fly away", I decided to add to the content of my song message which is "we have the ability to effect peace and love, we have the power to create peace and love, but we have to find ways to get into the human heart, and "from the heart, create peace and love, starting from you, and spreading to others". Kinda deep, but I love it!!!

You inspire me, and truly motivate me to think.
Respectfully,
Rene
