Default NGD Fender American Acoustisonic

I’ve played it for about 30 minutes and it has exceeded my expectations. I am very pleased! Give me a week or so with it and then I’ll write a review.

I’m waiting on the MIM version for $400.

Very cool. Would love to have one of these if I were in a band and gigging. This and my Ibanez AZ2204f would be in a nice double gig bag.

Congratulations. It's a beauty! I really like the looks of that guitar. How does it sound unplugged?

You must have got one of the first. I thought it was to be introduced at the NAMM show 2019 that is on now, but, I see you got yours delivered.

The body is surprisingly resonant. It’s definitely contributing to the acoustic tones, in combination with the Fishman technology.

Yes, I ordered mine on Tuesday, I think it was. Fender had shipped some to dealers ahead of NAMM.

Thanks to everyone for their kind remarks.

I think these are cool — congrats!

Will they fit in a traditional G&G case? That guitar is just begging for a brown case with gold interior...

I love that fretboard and the side wood on the body. Go Fender! If it sounds as cool as it looks, what a great guitar. Enjoy.

Congratulations! What kind of electric pickup is in there? Doesn't look like it has any hardware for adjusting height or for replacing...

I’d be willing to bet that you can get to it through the rather large back panel in the bridge area.

Wow! Does it feel like an electric or acoustic? Do the acoustic sounds convince the player? The YouTube videos sound pretty good, but I haven't listened with good cans.

To answer some questions...... The electric pickup is a noiseless magnetic pickup that I think was made specifically for the guitar....... I was hoping the guitar wouldn’t feel to much like an electric and to me it doesn’t. I have a couple of nice electrics and it’s an adjustment going from 13’s to 9’s when I swap between them. I think this has 12’s on it, plus it’s designed with a bit of an acoustic feel to it. That being said, I wouldn’t play it as hard as one of my acoustics because it also has a lighter touch....... I played for my family tonight and they all felt it sounded just like an acoustic. They are musicians with goose ears, so I respect their opinions. Honestly, I think it sounds great! I haven’t played with the electric pickup yet and I didn’t really get this guitar for an electric sound.
