My first real guitar was an FG150, more or less OM sized. I guess I have always leaned toward this size guitar as that is mostly what I make.

Default Yamaha FG180 Red Label

I realize this is an old thread but I have a 71' Red Label FG 180 I bought new in '71 or '72. I stored it in an non-humidified house and then stuck it in an unheated attic/loft for 20 years. I Basically ignored and forgot about it.
I took it to Cosmo Music, a local dealer and had the action adjusted- minor tweeking $100. limit and now it plays like a dream, still no cracks, finish is beautiful and the wood has a nice aged patina.

I clearly don't deserve it, it is a beautiful sounding guitar.

Good find! And look, even then, how little saddle he had on that 180!

I have a 331. Much more saddle than Dewey's, in that video. Great guitar. I paid CDN$140.00 for mine, no neck issues.
