Funny Thread over in General
"How Often do Necks Really need Reset?"
Not really funny, because my 40 year old D28 is in Nazareth at the moment for some attention, My 23yr old Taylor is on the brink of needing a reset. My Honor Student "Rainsong" is puzzled by the whole conversation. I am getting the itch to add another Rainsong. The Dealer where I purchased my Dred, offered me a H OM1000 with electronics, been hanging in the shop for 2 years. $1,500+tax . What to do.......................

Can't see my one-piece body and neck L13 needing a neck reset anytime soon...
I have another wooden guitar and several wooden ukulele, but I just like the feel of carbon fibre more. That sense of security in its strength.

BTW, a few years back I shipped a CA OX to a client and on the way the package was run over by the UPS truck. Don't ask me how it happened, but when I got the guitar back there was a clear break where the neck meets the body. Oddly enough I was able to tune the guitar up and play it as if nothing was wrong. |

Yes, that is a complete fabrication, aka: a joke. Maybe that is where Journey got the idea for their travel guitars? Yeah, another joke. |

I followed this thread as well. Give the wood side of the arguement over carbon. I hate to say it but my wood guitars have better neck profiles for "me", than my carbons. My current favorite is a 1 11/16 neck with a probable Taylor thinner profile. Is it worth a reset in the future to have the profile that I love, probably yes.
