Led Zeppelin "How the West Was Won" is great, especially in surround sound. Also, any of Clapton's Guitar Festivals are good.

Not exactly a concert but one of my all time favorite music videos is Chet Baker's Candy. Recorded near the end of Chet's life at a music library in Sweden. Too cool for words, if you like jazz you must see it.

A few of my Favs are Fleetwood Mac "The Dance".
Not sure of the names of the other two. I have them but don't know exactly where. One is the Rolling Stones that was recorded live in St. Louis in the late 1990's. Lots of great guests and they stick pretty much to the songs as recorded. MUCH better than ANY other Stones concert I've seen in person or on video. I actually heard this as it happened while trucking through St. Louis that nite. It was simulcast on the St. Louis classic rock radio station. It was a great show to hear. Seeing it is BETTER.
Another is John Fogerty Live. About the same vintage.

My current favourite live gig isn't available on DVD I'm afraid, but it is available on YouTube:

Ray Wylie Hubbard

The Avett Brothers live DVD is amazing. U2 Go Home is terrific. And the always excellent Last Waltz.

Oh yes - that one slipped my mind. It's a delight, isn't it?

For some odd reason I read that if I were an old stereotypical British royalty who was sipping tea with their pinky up...

Since I live so far out in the boondocks and concert tickets have gotten so pricey, I've taken a shine to collecting concert videos instead.

And, while I can't vouch for blue ray, I agree that when they take the care to make a nice job of it in HD with great audio, it really takes the experience to a whole new dimension. I like a number of those already mentioned, but the quality just isn't there. If that's a criteria, I'd add my vote for the following:

John Bonamassa 'Live at the Royal Albert Hall'

Jeff Beck - Live at Ronnie Scott's (wow)

Talking Heads, Stop Making Sense (uhuhhhh, and, yeah, they did it first)

Alison Krauss & Union Station - Live

(I"ll also begrudgingly add John Mayer - Where the Light Is...begrudgingly because - call me crazy - I always want to slap him, is it just me???)

and I'd add these to the list:

Neil Young - Heart of Gold

Peter Gabriel - Growing Up (and Secret World)

The Cult - Music Without Fear

Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere

Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds - Live at Radio City

David Gilmour - Live in Gdansk

Diana Krall - Live in Paris

Roy Orbison & Friends - Black & White Night

Foo Fighters - Live at Wembly Stadium

Bruce Springsteen - Live in New York City
