Need help ID'ing this vintage classical
Hi everyone,
I recently picked up this absolutely stunning vintage classical guitar off craigslist. The seller had no idea what it was but had used it throughout music school. The guitar is clearly nitro-finished, probably from the mid-sixties, and has all solid woods (I think). The label has mostly disintegrated outside of what you can see in the photos. However, it is stamped "Made in Germany" twice right below the label. The fingerboard and bridge are ebony. Has anyone ever seen this before? I'm really curious whether or not this is made with Brazillian Rosewood or Indian Rosewood, given its age. It sounds glorious despite how much it's been through. Let me know what anyone has a clue towards! |

I can't help with identifying, but I'm seeing spruce top, Indian RW back & sides. 60s is a good guess.

$300... seems to have all solid, vintage wood. Sounds amazing.

This is the correct answer, and you can see the "made in Germany" stamp twice. Similar instrument here: https://www.adverts.ie/classical-gui...ermany/9704662 |
