Default Well, I returned the Breedlove...

and bought a BETTER Breedlove!!!
I couldn't help it. I took it up to Bullfrog Music in Corvallis, OR to have it set up.

The store owner was awesome...and a great salesman. Lol!

Initially he talked me into a beautiful Alvarez OM. Less expensive than the Breedlove Pursuit, but it has an amazing tone.

As we were chatting, I picked up this Breedlove Premier. He TOLD me not to try it. He said it would suck me in.

It did.
It made me want to play.

The Pursuit was prettier, but the tone, while good, did not compare to this solid wood, made in Oregon beauty.

Okay, it was 3x as expensive, but it came with lifetime set up and repair and he threw in a discount and some goodies!

I also had the absolute pleasure of meeting JSeth while I was there! So good to meet you!

I have to give a shout out to Bullfrog Music in Corvallis for outstanding service. (and maybe a little sneaky coercion!)
They'll be my store of choice from now on.

I took the Pursuit back to GC in Eugene and returned it with some pleasure in knowing that I didn't give them my money afterall)

As I said, the Myrtlewood Pursuit was, in my opinion, prettier, but there is just no comparison in tone.
This one makes me want to practice!

Hi Lillis
Yes, it's a Concert size and absolutely perfect for me. The previous Breedlove was much larger..

Congrats on the newer new Breedlove. The Premier is a really nice instrument and definitely for the price. That's the one that started me down my current path last year.

You might want to do yourself a favor though and not try the Legacy or Masterclass

I traded mine in on a lovely Masterclass Auditorium a couple of months ago.

Such a sweet guitar, that one! Congratulations on your new "baby"!!!

Imagine my surprise when I overheard part of your conversation with Kurt, then asked about the guitar you were trading... and then realized that YOU were the lady on the Forum that I'd been writing back and forth with!

So nice to meet you, LisieDee! And I'm glad you came up to go to Bullfrog; I knew you'd get what you wanted there! Kurt is really a sweetheart of a guy and a great tech with both acoustic and electric guitars... his shop, although smallish, has a bunch of great guitars and they are always in tune (or very close) and have good strings on them; some of the reasons I go there as much as I do!

Enjoy that Premier! May you play it for thousands of hours, in both good health and circumstance!!!

Wink

I've had several Breedloves in the past, & none of them disappointed! I had one concert, & it was my favorite! I miss it! Congrats on your new one!

Wow, great top! Really tight grain, and I love me an abalone rosette. And, oh yeah, also a great back! Haha....

Nice acquisition. After throwing the towel in on my Martin D-28, I started out with a Korean Breedlove and it's been nothing but Breedlove's since, moving up their series each time. Just something special about their tone and playability.

Enjoy that beauty.
