NUAD! New Used Archtop Day
My 1st Archtop! It's a Silvertone Aristocrat. A loud nasty rhythm machine. Beat up, amateurish neck reset, but good neck angle, tuners are good, no known issues. I am digging it! I read that these were made from 1958 to 1960, so it may be a birth year guitar.

I've played a guitar exactly like that. I will never forget that awesome headstock. When I played it, it was the early 90s at a fancy place i frequented in college. They had actual martins and the friendly sales guy let me come in and play stuff even though he knew i was a poor college kid. They had this guitar and I'm pretty sure it was the first archtop i had ever played (grew up playing punk). it played and sounded so great. i remember liking that guitar so much. Nice score!!

This is the exact same pic you posted 2 weeks ago of your "too loud" guitar. Are you liking it better now? I thought you stuffed a sock behind the bridge to muffle it.

This is the older thread, the other was an the general forum. You seem to be offended (given the context of your post on the other thread) that I asked about dampening the volume of the guitar, rather than changing my playing technique.
