Default Have 3 guitars

Am a lawyer and don't get to play all of them as much as I should/want, like them all, don't want to get rid of any (although trading is always fun). Anyways, I've let my daughter's boyfriend borrow a guitar at time and cycle through them. That's been really neat- he doesn't have the money to buy a nice guitar but likes to play, it's been enjoyable to loan them out to him and see how he likes each one and his impressions, so far he prefers the Gibson to the Martin but hasn't tried the Guild yet.

Good idea. I have a trusted friend who plays guitar pretty well, and she’s helped play in some new instruments of mine in rotation - one in particular came back much developed in depth of tone, no longer tight, it was a win-win situation.

Brother GD, I have practiced law for 38 years. I have played guitar for about 10 months. Like you, I discovered the two are incompatible - like two jealous mistresses. So I made the only logical choice. I am retiring.
From the law, that is.

Hahahaha, that's great! Congratulations, I'll be there in a few years, depending on what the wife says. She's five years older so I may get a break

Cool. Here's a plan: When she hits her full retirement age, you can then retire at 62, collect 50% of her monthly Social Security benefit and use the money to enhance your guitar quiver.
You're welcome.
David
PS: People pay me for that kind of advice - sometimes.

Hey General, what a great way to keep guitars played. I'm sure he's very appreciative of your generosity.

I have loaned some of mine out to trusted friends over the years. It has been a wonderful experience for them and for me.

For a variety of reasons, there are many times where I just don't/can't get to playing guitar and letting someone enjoy them is much better than having them sit in the closet.

Your choice for 3 guitars is great.
They will each have their own sound.
You did very good for a lawyer. LOL

Hahahahaha, thanks. They are quite different, I kind of did that on purpose. The Martin isn't quite as resonant as you would think, so I like that
