Default 1977 Benedetto Archtop...

Its a guitar thats on souq.com.. the UAE equivelent of Ebay.. Nowt to do with me just come across it. Bear in mind decent guitars are a very rare thing on Souq!!

Looks pretty sweet to me.. Priced at a mere $xx,xxx.xx.

Struggling to get the link to work, so heres the descrption..

'Bob Benedetto's 12th guitar, made in 1977 for client and friend Carl Trollinger. The artistic skill of the master luthier-to-be is evident on this instrument; a remakable MoP and abalone flower & vine inlay on the fingerboard and headstock, detailed carvings on the back of the headstock, MoP inlays on the ebony tailpiece, pickguard & bridge and ivoroid neck bindings that cap the end of each fret. The instrument has a spruce top and birdseye maple back, sides and neck. It is the first of only four guitars that Benedetto has made from birdseye maple during his 40 years in the craft.

The guitar is in remarkable condition having been through a renovation carried out in consultation with Bob Benedetto at the Fine Guitar Consultant's workshop in San Diego, California about two years ago. This instrument is a highly collectable, one of a kind, hand made piece of jazz history but don't be fooled into thinking that it should spend the rest of its life locked in a vault. With a scale length is 25", nut width of 1 3/4" and high E string clearance at the first fret of .010"/.022" at the 12th, the playability is unsurpassed. The tone of this 31 year old guitar is exquisite.

It comes with a plush, hardshell Ameritage case with a built-in humidity control system'

If your interested go to souq.com and search for benedetto.

Enjoy

Steve
