Default What are the best Classical Guitar shops in the USA?

I'm hoping to get a decent classical guitar next year and Nashville is NOT the city to find many good classical guitars for sale in shops.

If you were shopping for a good classical, what shops would you visit?

The Guitar Shop in Washington DC is the nicest classical shop I've visited in the USA. Never been to Spain or South America, but I bet it compares favorably.

The Guitar Shop on Connecticut Ave in Washington, DC has been closed for a few years.

Kirkpatrick is a fine gentleman to work with. He always sets up a booth at the guitar festival in my town and I always buy from him because he's so pleasant a man....

Bummer. I haven't been there in 10 years (or more...) I saw the website was still up, so I assumed they were still around. It was a cool place.

Cool What are the Best Classical Guitar Shops in the USA?

The term "best" can mean different things to different people. Best selection? Best brands? Best prices? Best sales people? I would take a day trip to Nashville and visit as many shops as possible, and ask for recommendations. I guarantee they will find you a classical guitar that is high quality, high price, with great customer service.

Probably been more like 20 years now for me but it was the same shop I was thinking of when I read the title of this thread. I just could not remember the name of it

Try Jerry Roberts in Nashville. Not a brick and mortar store, but he always carries fine classicals.

Unfortunately, his website is still under construction.
