So I may finally have a buyer for my Larrivee Forum-III.
Nice guitar, but I am getting so tired of filling humidifiers every two weeks.

After shipping that would put me about:
-- 80% of the way to a Rainsong CH-PA
-- 33% of the way to a Chimaera Opus
-- 30% of the way to a Chimaera Artisan

Not sure I can convince myself that the extra $300 for the Artisan is worth the gloss back/sides and choice of color. (I'd pony up for the pickup in the Opus, because if I'm going to order a double neck I am sure going to perform with it)

You listed 3 choices...1 Rainsong and 2 Emeralds, looks like you want an Emerald to me. Good luck with what ever you choose.

You have focused on some great options. Before you jump, I would recommend that you try those options. The Rainsong will be the most accessible, the Emeralds will be harder to find. But, if you make inquires here, relative to your part of the country, you might find someone close who has what you'd like and be willing to let you give it a try.

Quite different instruments from that RainSong Parlor to the Emerald double-neck.

The nice thing about picking between an Opus and an Artisan: you get what you want. The gloss finish is very nice; so is the Crystal Ice finish on the B&S of the Opus. No down side. I see that Emerald is currently showing an Opus and a blue Artisan Chimaera in stock... it's a good time to be alive!

Probably. I ordered my Shorty without and ended up adding one.

Even at "Phoenix Carbonfest" nobody had a Chimaera.
