20 Easy Fingerstyle Studies for Uke(Rob Mackillop)

while looking for some good fingerstyle Uke books-i happened upon this.
comes with an excellent CD-clear, precise audio pleasure. each offering is played fast, then very slow.

this is way more than "twinkle twinkle little star", and is exactly what i wanted. has a more celtic euro flair. all recordings are in high G.
the tabbed musical sheets are very clean, easy to see and play. rob offers up a concise thought for each song at the front of the book-along with some tips for each song.

as one progresses, both left and right hands are worked and brought into play.
There are no pictures or directions of "how to hold your hands, fingers, etc. Rob does offer ideas for each song(finger use and such). He has provided his website that shows many of the songs being performed-and he offers up answering questions via email.

on the CD and in the videos, Rob is using a Tenor Uke from Luthier Dallas Sutherland of Edinburgh. Strings are Aquila Nylgut. He uses fingertips with no nail for playing.

I just started working with this book and can add my recommendation to the others. I find it gives a nice range of workouts. The word easy is a bit misleading, at least for me. I also picked up a copy of his 20 Spanish Baroque Pieces by Gaspar Sanz arranged for Uke.

still working on the first book, but i am enjoying it so much i recently picked up the above.
its done up in similar professional structure, there are a few what i would call "songs", but more of the studies are actually working the right or left hand. its definitely progressive from the first book in the OP. CD is of high quality.
Rather than a "song book", its more a skill building series IMO. There are a few of very cool tunes though and they alone are worth the cost.

Likewise i picked up the Spanish Baroque and the Celtic books of Rob as well. Have not had time to check them out yet.
