Kevin, that turned out great! That must have taken forever to complete.

Thumbs down

That turned out so much better than I had imagined it to. Love how the wood of the inlay naturally looks like fur! A true work of art. Bravo!

Yes, it looks even better in person. I wanted the "leopard" skin look and I feel like this worked really well. I have a little more inlaying to do then I can finish the guitar.

Ergoetal - This one is on my LD22 which is a single cut away electric, but I am will be showing a similar inlay on an acoustic headed to the Memphis Guitar Festival (available). I might throw a couple pics of it in the Memphis thread pinned to the top of the custom forum here, when I have it ready to show. But this is a preview.

That is so cool how you have the inlay on the truss rod cover! Beautiful work!

Here is another Leopard on the headstock. I'm getting more and more detail with each one. I'd say some "high definition". So, its given me an idea to offer to do a "builders choice" Leopard on every custom guitar I sell from now through 4/6/2016 - any custom model any style. If you didn't want it, that's ok too, I would just leave it off. I'll have prices and details on my site soon. If your interested drop me an email. [email protected] or [email protected]

What I mean by builders choice is something I'm confident I can make look real, and that is something I see in the angles, sizes and other qualifiers of the pictures of the leopards. Its going to look like these or better.

And another angle...

This one below was the first one and prompted the idea. And I'll do this one again and add in more shading/high def detail. Its all a progression of skill and just getting better with each one.

racman - Thanks. I love doing stuff like this.

Marcus - Thanks again. I think you'd be more overjoyed to have the whole guitar .

I already have the next idea in progress...

Have a great Easter.

Here is the latest Leopard going on a headstock.

I have this information on my website, still working on price listings. But through 4/4/16 I'll do a Leopard on your headstock (no charge). I'm trying to get some of my inlay work out there. Its a great offer...

I have a very high end SJ guitar coming up...build thread to come .

Thanks.

As I have said before, incredible. So real, looks like a photo not an inlay. Fantastic!
