Recording with Snowball and Garageband
Here is a recording I made with a Snowball mic in Garageband.
https://soundcloud.com/247hoopsfan/t...e-larrivee-d10 My son just gave the Snowball to me for my birthday. This is my first attempt. It sounds pretty good, but I would like to get some of the quack out of the high notes. I used the Garageband equalizer. Anyone have any expertise with Snowball?

That's some great playing, and a beautiful song. I enjoyed listening. It sounds like your levels are a bit too hot, maybe the gain is up too high on the mic or it's getting pushed too far in your software. I'd back off on the gain when you're recording. Make sure your peaks are up in the yellow but not hitting the red. You can always push the volume up or add compression later to increase the perceived volume.

i really like song but agree with JR(the man), that your levels may be too high. also, it comes across as rather trebly.

Sounds pretty nice for a Snowball! That was my very first configuration - Snowball + GB. As the others have said, it sounds a bit trebley. You could also try a bit of EQ to avoid the big bass notes drowning out the sound.
I think you'll find it's a nice setup, but one you'll quickly upgrade.

I agree with the other comments, levels are a bit into the red whether they indicate that way or not. In old time gear might an impedance mismatch sound like this? I remember plugging a Fender Music master directly into a passive mixing board, then into my Teac 3440, and it sounded kind of like this.
Excellent job on the playing part. Many guitarists could take tastefulness lessons from you.
