guitar neck practice tool experience?

I am a beginner acoustic player. There are times I want to practice but can't have my instrument with me such as an upcoming trip. There are also times I'd like to practice but don't want to dominate the sound space in my home. I thought about looking into purchasing one of these guitar neck practice tools. Does anyone have any experience with using these?
