Yes, we’ve certainly had a lot of rain, and some serious flooding locally. Given our drought years, rain is one thing you don’t want to complain about, but usually you can get in a bike ride every few days, and 7-10 day stretches with no breaks gets old. Finally got out today on my hybrid in T-shirt weather, full sun, with the air smelling so nice from the flowering shrubs and trees. Hope the long range forecast is accurate, but living near the coast that can always change.

That's what spring is all about. We had 75 yesterday, 80 today, snow tomorrow for up to 7-12 inches in the city. Luckily it's been warm the last two days will keep the snow from piling up. No more bike to work until next week.

Yes please don’t move to S. Cal. It’s very mild at present, a bit windy. We have had deadly catastrophic fire and rainy seasons the past several years.

Don't worry, I can't afford California.

The snow should be gone by now, the lake should be thawed, the flowers should be doing their thing and I should be out getting my boat ready. But no, not this year! It's all frozen solid and with a nasty freezing rain right now. ENOUGH ALREADY!

Oh come on, you're in Canada - 10 months of winter and 2 months of mud!

Lots of rain here in the NorCal valley, which means lots of snow in the Sierra. We're finally out of the drought (since 2012), but the mountain snow is still welcome to keep us there. It's been windy, but temps are beginning to look springlike, as well. And it's been good for the humidity levels in my home too (I nearly bought a dehumidifier this spring).

Nope... no mud. It's 12 months of winter - some of it with no snow, most of it with. Otherwise our igloos would melt, right?

Say, wanna trade a nice Martin 12 string for the JCB? Everybody needs a 12 string (and I'm dying for a heated cab snow blower... I'd be in it all the time)!

Ha! Funny you should mention a Martin 12.... In oh maybe 96- 97, while in the now closed guitar store in Jackson Hole they had become a Taylor dealer and a 750 12 string . I sat and played for about 20-30 minutes with my wife listening.. Then 2 or 3 weeks later, I was in Portland Oregon at a small guitar shop and they had a good used Martin D 28 -12 which I thought sounded great . So I talked with owner and got a pretty good price quote. Called my wife ( the NewHolland driver/ CFO ) to get her thoughts and she kept saying well wait a bit we really can't afford it right now .. Unbeknownst to me she had while I was traveling, gone in and purchased the 750 for me . .... So I'll keep the JCB a bit longer but thanks

36 deg (F) here at lunch time and light sprinkles of snow in the air. Not much but WAY too cold for this time of year (IMO).

I love Christmas. I love skiing. I love snow. I love winter.

And I want it to go away now.

82F here with copious sunshine. Here in Texas we get Summer and not-Summer. It has not yet gotten around to Summer...but it's coming!

The river behind my condo flooded once already this spring. It's staying high, real high. Now this new storm is going north of us, thank God. But it'll more than likely melt quickly as this cold spell won't last that long. The river will probably flood again. The flooding doesn't hurt us besides losing a little more river bank but the boat club next to us, my favorite watering hole, may go under again. Last time we partied while watching the water rise. What else can you do?
