They are priced the same, but are open to offers. Besides, I understand Mr Olson isn't taking orders or deposits now... so what I think you mean is they are priced for what they used to be for sale for LOL

Actually in light of the unrest in the economy, this is actually quite funny. The guitars are indeed amazing. One, would be a lifetime guitar. Two or three, crazy.

Where did the story of Mr Olson not taking any more orders come from? There is no mention of it on his website.

Just the attention to detail is amazing. Just love the choices of woods... I am sure they are going to be stellar.

Having played one olson, I must say that I am very impressed with the attention to details and also the playability.
The tone is amazing too.

My sentiments exactly. You can tell how efficiently he builds by the pictures.... but one can truly appreciate their quality which is at the high end of the spectrum of hand built guitars. Yes there are lots of other exceptional guitars too...Olsons are not the only one. They sure are nice though!

I am totally amazed at the organization and cleanliness of the shop. Its a truly impressive batching of guitars. All look to be given care and attention.
To me, this is what sets other builders apart. Jim has just been doing this for so long, its an exact science for him. Doesnt make him better or worse - just he's got his system down. There are plenty of good guitars out there. Just only a handful are made by Jim. Anyone know when this batch will start shipping? |

I've always loved Jim's guitars, ever since I saw Keaggy back in 1987 and we played name that tune as he strummed away on his Olson back stage before a show.
I heard somewhere (real authoritative hey...) that Jim is moving away from custom building and only going to be building what he wants, then he will have them listed for sale somewhere. So he may be stopping the custom order, but I'm sure what he continues to produce will be exceptional as well as highly desirable. I love seeing Jim's work, it inspires me greatly as a builder.
