My advice fwiw is to decide between all hog and spruce/rosewood first before picking out any model guitar. They do sound and play differently. Best of luck with it!
Don't feel bad about how long it took! It took me 50 years to figure out that all hog guitars are where it's at.

If I was in the market for a parlour cheaper than a Collings then my only consideration would be a Pono, specifically a L20D model for the desired specs :

You must realize that inventories are rock bottom, and up until 24 hours ago, every showroom with instruments in the Denver metro area (where we were for a week until a week ago) and in metro Chicago was closed to the buying public.

Here in Chicagoland, there is CME, which according to their web page inventory, has nothing I am interested in trying. What few other places there are, also nothing.

Mine is a very narrow search, and I am going to have to order one sight unseen, if I can even find one to order.

So I bought the Alvarez. Should have it by Thursday.

I tried to give my biz to CME, asking them in a phone call and email to get me the guitar, but I got no reply.

It's shipping to me from a store called Pit Bull Audio, somewhere out in eBay land.

I own this guitar, and it’s the best guitar I’ve ever played.

The PYM70 is on my short list of “I need” guitars. Yairi Masterworks guitars are magical, lightly but flawlessly built and resonate in a way that no guitar I’ve ever played has matched. They have the most comfortable neck profile. Just get it so that you can tell me all about it.

Oh, looks like you did already get it! You made the right decision. You will come to love that bridge that someone criticized, and probably perceive most other acoustic bridges as inferior.

Congrats! I think that you will like it but do let us know when you receive it and have a chance to put it through it’s paces.
Best,
Jayne

I purchased an effects unit from Pitbull and they were fine to deal with. The sale was handled in a quick and courteous manner.

This recent acquisition of mine keeps blowing my mind. So much that my CM has been sitting in its case for very long periods of time.

I'll be back at CME in a couple days, and I'll be sure to check the 322ce out again and see if it's as good as I remember.

I have had a 322 with Blackwood body, and love it, but I bought a 412 Ltd a year ago that has a maple body and spruce top, the 3 piece back having a wedge. I can’t stop playing it. I have a Gibson Dove that sounds unbelievable, and it edges out the 412 for power and obvious bass, but for finger style, the 412 gives me goosebumps. That said, I have come to love spruce over mahogany more than over rosewood, personal preference, I know, but too much overtone strikes me as muddy. Probably it is because I am too ham-handed to command a rosewood guitar’s subtlety, but be that as it may, I started this reply to offer the opinion that Taylor excels at creating maple guitars that offer more complexity than you might expect from that tonewood. That said, I will probably be looking for a Hummingbird soon, at least to A/B with my old spruce/mahogany Taylor dread.
