favorite drumming videos?
Hi guys,
Admittedly I remain at my core a frustrated non-drummer so I find myself at times engrossed in drumming videos. Here's Danny Carey with Tool performing their recent track Pneuma live. Danny is considered one of the finest drummers out there and I think this video bears that out: Do you guys like drum videos? If so, post some favorites. |

Anything and everything by Gavin Harrison .... I picked this one at random.
This one called 'The Cymbal Song' is great too.

Not a "drumming video" per se - but there are parts of this performance that show just how skilled Steve Smith really is....

Although I was a drummer in what back in the day ('60s/'70s) R&B, Blues and jazzblues, and I was mentored by Charlie Watts (who was a fr better drummer than anyone ever saw) I was always spell bound by the jazz drummers.
No.1. Joe Morello with Dave Brubeck his fingers must have hurt after that! After Charlie moved up with the Stones, I met Mitch Mitchell and took him along to some of our gigs and helped him out as Charlie had me. I used to go to two clubs - one being the Bull's head in Barnes where there were one of three drummers: Phil Seaman, who I always thought was a bit of a basher, (he mentored Ginger I believe). Then there was Alan Ganley -the sweetest, neatest drummer I ever saw. (this video is long!) The other one, I think, was Tony Kinsey : In rock groups the best drummer I ever saw was bobby Elliott of the Hollies : and ... How's about this :

I saw the thread title & thought immediately I'd nominate the Tool video of Pnuema until I saw it was the OP's headline act lol.
I absolutely love that video & watch it at least every few weeks turned up loud for a fix. It's a journey in itself.
