How many pay TV channels do you have?
Just curious if anyone else has grown tired of all the exclusive offerings?
I remember when cable included most channels. Pay ad-ons were HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax. Period. Now it seems that every commercial for an interesting show is another $5-10 to subscribe to another channel. We have very basic cable and pay for Netflix, Amazon Video and Hulu. |

I do basic cable/internet package, and we pay for Disney+, and Amazon Prime.
Occasionally, I play the "free trial" game when there's something I want to see on a different service, but generally, I've found I don't have enough time to binge watch much of anything except for the one season "mini-series" kind of thing (like Mare of Easttown, which I thought was fantastic) In a few years when my kids are older, I'll be able to ditch almost all of it |

If I'm remembering correctly, we have 3- Prime, Netflix, and Paramount Plus (formerly CBS)
Several years ago we cut the cable after realizing that 99% of what we were watching was on CBS. As a result of cutting the cable and subscribing to CBS' streamimg app, we realized an immediate savings of $195 per month. Of course we pay for Netflix and Amazon Prime but we were already paying for those so to me it's as though they don't count. Now retired, I'm tickled about not paying for a gazillion TV channels I never watched anyway. I know Cable TV is a commercial enterprise that sells a product, but honestly I do not miss all those odd-and-overlapping-content-laden channels I couldn't care less about and never watched. I'm also not bilingual, so I'm no longer paying for a dozen channels broadcasting in a language I cannot understand and feel very good about saving that money! Best, PJ

We have cable and Netflix. My wife is the TV watcher in the family. When she's not home I just turn it off most of the time.
If it's not the news, Cardinal baseball or Fighting Illini football or basketball I can do without it. |

We don't have cable and our Netflix subscription comes with our T-Mobile 5G senior phone account, which is already cheap to begin with. We didn't even know we had that until somebody asked if we knew about it. Nice surprise.
Of course, between playing guitar and piano and reading, who has much time for TV anyway? Tony |

Amazon (because it comes with Prime) HBO Max and Netflix. I'm guessing that the whole TV marketplace scene will be different in a few years.

I have no premium channels and never have unless you count the trial that came when I signed up for cable. I’m seriously considering cutting the cord altogether.

I have an internet connection and subscriptions to prime (as well as prime music unlimited), Disney Plus, and Netflix. I can pick up CBS via antenna, Sometimes NBC. Generally find better things to do than watch TV.
Probably watch youtube more than anything else. |

If you haven’t checked out YouTube TV yet, give it a look. My cable company was routinely jacking up “fees” and charging for a box and for local channels.
The pay channel most watched at my house is PBS Passport. But I have Prime, Britbox, and Netflix.

We have an antenna that picks up 55+ stations. That, plus Amazon Prime and DVR gives us far more that we ever need to watch. In fact, most evenings consist of watching news, a rerun of MASH, and maybe a PBS show, or not. Personally, I have tired of video media, because it is a really inefficient way to transfer information. My wife and I do.
Or more reading these days. Rick

Amazon Prime and Netflix. I cut cable about 4 years ago.
I just resigned for Netflix last week once I found out the latest season to the Blacklist is now streaming. I had previously dropped Netflix in Jan because Prime was all I needed. |

I cut our cable service to just local channels yesterday. We have Prime and Netflix as a matter of course, then add in one or two others, like Britbox or Acorn until we catch up, then unsubscribe. It does seem like we get nickel and dimed to death, but it is nice to have choices you can jump in and out of.
