Default G7th Capo Tip

I hope this doesnt violate any pricing rule on the forum. If so, sorry and you can delete this thread. But anyways, i was on MusiciansFriend.com and saw that the G7th Performance Capo is being sold for a more reasonable price for a short time I think i read earlier that a lot of people were interested in trying out the capo if it were a bit cheaper so maybe this would be good for those people .

Thanks for being sensitive to our No. 2 Rule, but it's for guitars. Other stuff's fair game. However, I'm moving this thread over to the Now Hear This section, where we talk about goodies like the G7. Thanks for the tip!

Can I get a review for this capo once someone gets one in their hands, or if they already own one?

I mean I shelled out 15 bucks for a kyser capo (and I thought that was a lot), and the kyser works fine, so why spend more money for a capo that just looks cooler?

it's not just looking cooler. It's a revolution and really live up the words! When you say your Kayser working "fine", what do you really mean? Does it work better than any regular capo or just perform the same function? With a regular capo, you must retune your strings after capo is applied, and you need to tune it again if the capo is moved to another fret. But G7th doesn't!! And it's really effortless to apply it, as opposed to Kayser which has a strong grisp so you need a lot strength to open it. If G7th was over priced for nothing, it wouldn't stand up in the market. Try it before you comment.

This forum is evil. It's posts like these that make me spend more money! The capo looks pretty neat, and I'm really tempted to order it. Not that I need another one - I already have nine or ten capos. Thanks for the heads up!

I got a chance to play with one at Shorline over the summer. It was great - but not so revolutionary that I felt compelled to spend the $$.

But this price on MF is good, for sure. I still think my shubb works just as well though.

Let me just go ahead and eat the words outta my last post.

I forgot that I lost my shubb 3 months ago and have been using a back-up kyser (yuck!) So, I figured I might as well try one of these since they are just a tad more on sale than a new shubb would be. So - I now have one getting mailed my way

Thanks for the tip. I was interested in the G7, but original cost was a little high. This sale price is more like it - I ordered one today.

Thanks, Rodger
