Smile Best DRUM forum?

Odd request here.

Anyone have suggestions for the best Drum forum?

I believe one as good as AGF would be asking a lot, but the ones I have stumbled across I find very uninspiring …

I know there are more recovering drummers here than just me!

Lemme know if u have ideas

Cheers

Paul

it's a challenge to find any forum as good as this one.

I'm hardly an expert... too busy here, I guess.

I've been to a few, but I'm not a member of any...

Drum Forum.
Drummerworld.
Vintage Drum Forum.

Looking for anything in particular? There is also a Pearl Drum Forum, if you were into Pearl.

Do they make brutal jokes about guitarists as we make brutal jokes about drummers, banjo players, or accordions?

Smile Jokes are good!

I bet they do joke about us…

How do you get a lead guitarist to stop playing?

Give him/her sheet music

It would work on me, and I don’t even play lead!

I did find Not So Modern Drummer, which I subscribed to in the late 80s when it was a four sheet mimeographed snail mail publication! Yow.

Cheers

Paul

I haven’t been over there in a while, due to loss of most of my session jobs for much of the past 2 years, Drum Form & Drummerworld were two boards I participated in. Both, to my recollection, were professional groups. And no, I never heard anyone over there say anything about anyone else.

DrumForum.Org - otherwise known as "DFO". I've been a member for over 12 years. Friendly crowd, welcoming to newbies and amateurs, happy to share their knowledge. It's a good site, sister site to Gretsch-Talk.com if you happen to know them.

Check 'em out:

Another vote here for DrumForum.org -- moderator here!

Came to this section of AGF to see if anyone actually was talking about drums...not much I guess! On DFO, you can geek out about silly drum things every day.

Possibly DrumForum.org . Anywhere where they appreciate Furio Chirico .

Smile Drum on….

Thanks folks

I will check out DFO!

Meanwhile I’m having fun with a new old drum. I recently scored a 10x14 1959 Ludwig marching snare in WMP.

Basically a 10” deep Buddy Rich, with the classic throw and mini lugs. COB hardware too. Amazing tone, and cute too!

Cool since 1959 was The year I got my first White Marine Pearl Ludwig drum set!

20” kick, snare and hi hats. Just enough to use all four limbs.

Cheers

Paul

Default let's go

Hello everyone, I just came across your forum, I was also in need of a drummer's forum ^^ I own an Alesis Strike Pro Special Edition and I would have liked to know what you think of electronic drums in the style they have. Well, I find it beautiful but the purists don't care and it remains only an electronic drum set for them while the effect on stage is just as identical ^^
