Agree, J.R. Great write-up. I was already impressed when you brought your guitar from Healdsburg, but I must say my absolute favorite is the Zorzi.

If you read this, Aaron, you can send me a PM with the price of the Zorzi, since you don't publish prices on your website.

The website is overdue for an upgrade. I was hoping to have it ready before the article came out. Alass.
The new site has base pricing and a listing of upgrade costs.
That said, the Zorzi is at The Guitar Emporium in Seattle WA. Www.guitaremporium.com
I have it priced at $6200, a full thousand off the list!

Thanks for asking!

A member just posted this pic of his collection, including a 1930's Kay Kraft Model B.

Default Kay Kraft

Yep, that's the inspiration. It is a 14-3/4" lower bout width. I am working out plans for a 16-1/4" version that I think might be nice.

Andrew, congrats!
And by the way, that Zorzi is both gorgeous and cool at the same time.
Not an easy feat! It's so well done.

Steve

Default Aaron's new zorzi projects

Hi Everybody,
I'm Aaron's shop partner, Steve. I make Edwinson guitars. Just wanted to tell you that Aaron is currently building two more Zorzi instruments, and I get to watch the process. How cool is that!
One of them is actually going to be a mandocello, built on commission for Aaron's UK dealer, Trevor Moyle. He bought Aaron's first Aurora archtop at the Healdsburg festival in August. So I'm giving a shout out for Aaron, who is a very intrepid and original designer, and a first rate craftsman. Keep your eyes on this guy, he's world class.
And sorry to gloat, but I have the unique good fortune of sharing a shop with him. He sets the bar pretty high, and we have a great synergy both as professional colleagues and friends. Peace, -the edwinson

It would be even cooler if you'd employ your professional photography skills and grab a few photos of the legends in the making! We'd love to see that.

Default you betcha

You betcha, JR, that's one of the great things about working with Aaron. He's got lots of skills I don't have, and vice versa. So we can swap this for that, and we're bigger than the sum of the parts.
Aaron's busy updating his website now, and it'll have lots of my photos in it. I'll ask him if we should get a build thread going on the current Zorzi guitars.
