Default TC Helicon Mic Mechanic

Got me one coming today. Gonna' test her out and see how she does with vocals. Simple to operate. Just trying to add a wee bit of enhancement.
I'll publish a review.

I have incorporated a Mic Mechanic into my show. It adds a lot of value.

It's a useful tool for giving vocals a little shine, and the pitch correction can help with vocal confidence and a better performance if you're not always as on pitch as you'd like. It lacks the ability to generate harmony lines, but TCH makes other pedals if you'd like that feature.

Well I just spent about 30 minutes with it through a powered speaker and I like it. Next up is the Fishman Loudbox Mini.

Works great with the Mini as well. I will Gig test it and see how that goes.
It is very simple to use, which suits me to a tee. There are enough tweaks on the delay and reverb to cover the kind of stuff we do, in fact, more than enough.
The pitch correction when used properly is very nice for eaking out those high notes and helping with moderate pitchiness...just don't overdue or it can sound robotic. The tone button I haven't quite figured out yet. It definitely changes the way your voice sounds in an odd sort of way. Keeping in mind I'm doing this in a small room which might be part of that.
Lastly, this device should not have been made in the form of a stomp box IMHO.
It needs to be accessible for immediate tweaking. It is a sturdy build.
My boys at Sweetwater were kind enough to give me a little off the regular price so for what it costs, it's not a bad little investment if it is a gig-worthy vocal aid.

I have the reverb pedal from that series. It is really incredible what the preamp in that thing does for vocals into a Loudbox Mini. Reverbs are great as well.

I would agree. The pitch correction feature is very well done also. It just gives you a minimal boost if you use it correctly. Helps with those very high note that are sometimes difficult during any given performance.
It's a keeper.

I found I liked the tone button best of all. I did not expect that.

I use the unit just for the tone button. It is the secret sauce.

I started with the Mic Mechanic and enjoyed it so much that I picked up their harmony pedal. Really fun to sing/play with other voices. It has stimulated my song list.
