Does anyone know about ARC guitars?

Has anyone played or seen an ARC guitar? ARC Guitars is a one luthier shop located in Winters, CA. His guitars are very, very reasonably priced, and he will build to order. He also teaches guitar-making.
Before I make the trek to his shop, does anyone have anything to say about the builder or his instruments? His name escapes me at the moment.
