Lol, I thought at first maybe it wasn't installed yet, just laying on top. Then I saw the picture of it vertical. Must be a heavy strummer......

Maybe it represents a tear. That guitar has done a year of hard prison time.

I’m in on this one.. yes, I like it.
A real trend setter perhaps.

Maybe Taylor will introduce THIS as its next big game changing innovation?

I hope the guy holds the patent on this.

It’s got provenance, though… previously owned by Salvador Dali

For some reason, I immediately thought this guitar passed the gang initiation.

Or it’s crying because it doesn’t fit in with the other guitars. This may have been found on the island of misfit toys.

My first thought is that it’s covering a substantial defect/ hole in the top.
“Let’s put the pick guard over it! There we go, better than new.”

If we could get interior pictures we can get an idea of the size and shape of the defect and start the forensic analysis of the probable weapon used.

I’ve seen a once desirable guitar for sale with multiple screwdriver puncture wounds in the top. No attempt had been made to cover them. There were many.
