My guess is that guitar WILL be a game changer for a lot of folks. If I didn't have all my bases covered in the slope shoulder dread department I'd sure be auditioning one. Good for Collings to add another (what appears to be) fine guitar to their Traditional lineup. I feel sure Bill is smiling! So Roy...you already order your's?

I really want to try one out. Being fundamental focused, with less overtones and faster note falloff...sounds very much like their Julian Lage model. While the JL didn’t work for my play style in an OM body, I’m curious if I’ll react differently to that tone in a larger slope shouldered body. Hopefully my local shop will have one once we have the pandemic under better control.

Looks great, but I wish they had gone with a normal peghead and a traditional J-45 sized pickguard instead of the AJ/J-35 style.

Nitpicking. It's what I do...

LOL if I like the sound of this guitar, I'm going to use the reverse justification...of all my guitars, I don't own a slope shoulder, so why not?!

Two different philosophies that come to the same end... a new Collings.

I really do wish I had a local Bourgeois dealer (odd to write that, living in Los Angeles). Because that's the one "big small" builder I don't yet own, and I'd love to have my first slope shoulder be one of their offerings. But for anything over 4K I very much want to have a chance to audition before committing.

Well, that's going to cost a lot of money. Do they offer 30 year mortgages for guitars?
