Ishmael bangs it out on a Taylor dread
I'm a fool for a good cover. Everything I learn I get from YouTube, and when picking a song to learn, I end up looking for what, in my opinion, is the best cover of the tune.
Thin Lizzy's "Whiskey In the Jar," for me, is bested by this nice self-produced version. Is he hitting harmonics while bending? And this, from a Martin player. Who cares if he's playing a Taylor? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oW_RQQb1QE

Looks like he's playing a Takamine in most of that clip?

Multiple takes. Looks like he used the Takamine for the leads and the Taylor for the strumming rhythm.
