Default Alix Preamp can power a Highlander Reso pickup!!!

For those of you with a resonator with a Highlander pickup in it, I just found out you can use the Alix preamp to power the internal Highlander preamp instead of using the proprietary 9 volt battery box. If you open up the ALIX and use the jumper that sets the phantom power to ring (see manual), you can power the Highlander pickup by just using the Highlander TRS cable plugged straight into the ALIX. Yes the ALIX provides 12 Volts and the Highlander typically uses 9 volts, but it works with a good clean signal and no distortion that I hear. It sounds great!

I love this preamp more and more every day
