Fishman Ellipse Blend Problem

I’m installing an Ellipse Blend.

The mic works (although very hot).

I am getting no sound out of the under saddle pickup. When I remove the strings and saddle and tap on the pickup itself, it produces sound, so it is getting power.

Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful.

It sounds like your saddle isn't making contact with the pickup. If you have to pull real hard on the saddle to remove it from its slot, the saddle likely has to be sanded a bit on its back-side for it to be thin enough to settle down in the slot on top of the UST pickup. Don't sand the front of the saddle as you want to maintain the intonation and compensation characteristics of the saddle.
