On par with the Bose S1 would be the Fishman mini charge
Great guitar tone, plenty loud, nice carry bag, nice reverb , XLR out. It has a master volume, and Mids control which Bose doesn't have.
My only negatives: Bit heavier than S1, no App control, and can not mount on speaker stand

Great Fishman support!

I busked recently with a group of people who were using using Roland Cubes - couldn't hear vocals above their guitars. My Crate Taxi TX30 sounded much better than the Rolands, with a bigger speaker my vocals were loud and clear. the Crate is very hard to buy used but it's a great amp. Downside, it is a bit big and heavy & doesn't have an XLR input so you have to have a 6mm jack on your mic. lead. I'd recommend any amp with a bigger speaker, the smaller ones simply don't sound as good. The Crate Limo also has a great sound but the wooden cab makes it v. heavy and there have been problems with the FX unit.

You might want to take a close look at the Roland Street Cube series, particularly the Street Cube EX.

Any difference in volume between vocal mic and instrument is a matter of setting the levels correctly. The Taxi TX30 has a 8" speaker and the Cube EX has TWO 8" speakers. All Street Cubes are not the same!

A JBL EON ONE Compact should serve you well for busking!

My first choice would be an Elite Acoustics amp: a D6-8 or a D6-58 is as good as it gets.

Be aware that the Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge has a Sealed Lead Acid battery, which has a number of disadvantages over some of the new battery powered amps (newer Elite Acoustics, Bose S1 Pro, JBL) which use Lithium based batteries. The SLA disadvantages include less power, long charge times, and diminishing power as the amp discharges.

I was looking at the Bose S1 Pro on the Sweetwater site and got confused: does the Bose come with a battery or is the battery a separate/optional purchase? I'm assuming the base package comes with a power cord at least. Is that correct?

Never mind. I looked it up on the Bose site and see that it does come with a battery and power cord.

Yes, originally the battery was a separate purchase for $99 and the S1 came with the slip cover. Now the battery is included and you need to purchase the slip cover separately if you want it.

Sometimes people are looking for current information. Going out of ones way to post the obvious availability of the search function in a thread that already apparently annoys them seems a bit unfriendly if not nitpicking. This is after all a discussion forum.

There's actually a search function here and a quick "busking amp" came up with the thread above in well under one second.
