Better yet, why don't manufacturers just drill a hole through the transverse brace like Martin does on all of it's adjustable truss rod models to make it easier for owners to access ?
What a concept. I agree fully

Aside from the product itself (quality, value), there's nothing more important than great customer service. Collings seems to really understand all of this.

Can’t say for sure. Could be that on a smaller guitar the distance between the brace and the entrance to the truss rod is different. So the bend on the end of this wrench may not work. Fits like the proverbial glove on Traditional dreads.

I get the feeling that Bill didn’t trust us to mess with his relief. Plus he probably wanted just that last little bit of boost an uncompromised front brace gave his guitars. He was kinda a detail guy like that.

Many years ago I bought a new TV yellow Collings 290. The case had dark green lining that bled through and into the finish after a month or so. Called Steve at Collings who asked for a photo which I sent immediately. Steve OVERNIGHTED a brand new guitar with a newer case design BEFORE HE EVEN HAD MY GUITAR YET! Steve and Collings are a real class act, customer service personified!

This is one of the many reasons I am a huge Collings fan. Their customer service is exceptional.
