Default Someone Get The Ladder...

A fingerpicked blues I just played and recorded on my ladder braced Waterloo WL-14L a few minutes ago:

That was great. Went really well with my morning coffee.

Just wonderful. I've dabbled in blues fingerpicking just enough to know that I have some small amount of facility with it, but clearly lack the patience and discipline it would take to get much better. But if I had it, the kind of stuff you do would be the kind of playing I'd aim for. Really really enjoyable little bit of music. I'd love to be able to do it, but failing that, I love listening to it...

Thank you very much, David and Ray!

I am glad you liked the track.

I mentioned to my Better Half about David drinking coffee while listening and I said I don’t believe I recall anyone drinking coffee anywhere I played. She agreed, laughed and said most people were drinking bourbon, too many! And she doesn’t think you could get a coffee there if you wanted!

Thanks Rene!

I should mention my mic is the Neumann KM184, mixer A&H 4 channel FX, usb to iMac.....used this combo for years, the mic is leaning towards the 14th fret but across the top facing the bridge.....seems to pick up right fingers nicely.

Wow, that was awesome! Beautifully played and recorded. Very “daddystovepipe” (meant as a compliment). I have a WL-14 LTR and it doesn’t sound like that (and it’s not the guitar)!
