T-Bone Burnett and Bob Dylan's Project!!!
Thought there would be more than a couple members who'd find this extremely interesting... both from the new technology aspect and the artistic ethos espoused by Mr. Burnett...

Interesting. A shame my ears are probably no longer capable of discerning the nuanced difference of this new medium versus the older formats.

This is a RIOT!!!
Great video clip! Thanks for posting it... I kept asking myself "Who is this guy?"; actually had to go to another video of his to find out his name! So, Tim Pierce...
I just love it! What an experience to have! And it was clear that this wasn't some "yeah, I did this, I've done that..." type of recanting. He was SO obviously moved and filled with the experience... what a pleasure to see a life-long, VERY successful guitarist talking about these sessions like a 19 year-old kid... Loved it that he spoke of my friend, Greg Leisz, as well... although Greg's played on EVERYTHING (at one point recently, he was the MOST recorded pedal steel guitarist in the history of recorded music!?! This, from people who do a lot of compiling and researching...)... although he's played on everything, not many know who he is... nice to hear him get "props" from a peer... He didn't really speak much about this mysterious recorded offering that sold for $1.7 million; he spoke 'around" the thing, but not directly to it. Again, thanks for posting this - his energy was so infectious and endearing... heck, I'm all jacked up right now, just writing about it!

For anyone interested what is likely an iPhone recording of the Ionic recording leaked twenty minutes after the auction was complete. It’s a nice arrangement of Blowin’ in the Wind, although obviously the high fidelity benefits of the technology are lost here. As a Dylan fan I’m just glad I got to hear it, a lot of us were displeased by the auction in terms of not getting to hear new material.

Lovely arrangement and version! Thanks for posting this...
As to feeling disgruntled about the privacy surrounding the recording, I have to ask: did you read what T-Bone Burnett's comments were about this and the state of music as art in general?
