I enjoyed that one. I saw him back with the Derek Trucks band. He opened for Eric Johnson. The next year I saw him with the Allman Brothers Band!

When Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes are on stage together trading licks it’s a guitarists tour de force!
I was surprised how well spoken, thoughtful and retrospective Trucks presented himself during his interview with Rick Beato. Really grounded.

This WAS a terrific interview... I already had a high sense of regard for Derek, and it only increased through listening/watching this interview...
I've felt for some time that Derek and Susan are "The Real Deal"... it is obviously ALL about the music and the songs for them and their band. This interview gives a lot of insight into why that feeling comes across so strongly through the music of the full band...

Rick Beato seems to be slowly getting around to interview EVERY single musician I follow. And he approaches it from a musician's perspective.
I've been a fan of Derek Trucks after hearing him guest on a Jimmy Herring album. Totally reignited my love of electric slide guitar.
