Default New Fiddle Edge Dobro

The good news - there's a new fiddle edge dobro available from 24 March. The bad news - only 220 have been made.

Designed by Michael Messer, hand-built in China, they look and sound fantastic. They come with a spider or biscuit bridge.

In this video, Michael talks about his resonator guitars and the new model.

No connection - just a big fan of MM guitars

Brilliant! We were talking about this back around 2014, and did think that it was going to be easy! Michael is such a lovely guy, I'm so pleased that he's brought the dream home. I learnt so much from him during the years we worked together.

These are beautiful guitars and Michael is great to deal with. I found it fascinating that the bridges, biscuit or spider are interchangable! A great video and product. I have ordered one.

It is such a lovely looking and sounding guitar. It will be a fantastic gigging instrument - it should mic' up on stage wonderfully.

The early part of the video was interesting. Michael talked about Robin showing him a Chinese built budget resonator, which sounded really good. Presumably this was one made by the factory that supplied Republic's guitars.

I went on a workshop with Louisiana Red. There was an American there with an unbranded B grade resonator, rejected by Republic, that he'd bought for about $100. It sounded incredible, and Red was impressed with it too.

I had one of the early MM blues . It was raw but very good, and I regret selling it.

I'm looking forward to hearing sound samples of the fiddle edge with both spider and biscuit bridges. I may be in a position to get one in a few months time, if there any left.

I hope you enjoy yours Wezzy.
