Wow!! I just notice that...$699 now with Battery Bose S1

I'll stick with my EAE M2-6

Can’t blame that brother. Again if I was going to drop that much I might just get an EAE myself and sacrifice the weight OR just straight invest that kind of money on a piece of gear higher up on my pyramid then the portable battery powered option at the bottom of my hierarchy of needs. Maybe a nice Schertler for my home studio or a couple mains for gigs (used Turbosound ip300s or QSC CP8’s anyone!?!?)

Some people have had success with the JBL Eon Compact. It is battery powered and less expensive than the S 1 Pro it competes with.
