Transferring audio cassettes to PC?
Just wondering if anyone's got any recommendations for software that runs on windows to do this smoothly and possibly break up the tracks automatically.
I've got one of those Zoom H2 recorders which I read on the other post can be utilized for this purpose. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jack. |

You just need recording software? If that's all you need try Audacity.
It's a free download... http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ To break up the tracks, i heard it can be done in Audacity, but I've never figured it out and always used CDWave |

I used this:
http://www.amazon.com/Ion-Tape2PC-US...dp/B000VG802I/ Worked great - records the cassette as a single MP3 file and then auto-detects the space so it can slice it into separate tracks. |

I've been using Polderbits Sound Recorder & Editor for years, works great and has useful additional features.
