Thanks - I started another thread about the Rickenbacker a few days ago.

The Hondo is indeed a Lead II copy - I’ve owned it since around 1981. It’s very special to me - full story here:

I bought a Hondo Professional series Telecaster copy around the same time you bought yours. It was my main electric for over a decade. Hondo (a marketing company brand name, so who exactly made these models I don't know) had a reputation as a low end, low quality name, but you couldn't prove it by my example which played and sounded fine and held up under some considerable Tele wrangling. It gave me the Telecaster home-base that's underneath my playing.

Yep - this Lead II copy is a Japanese-made Hondo Pro, too. As best as I've been able to find out, they were made by Matsumoku, which gives them a pretty good pedigree.

Sweet! I've always wanted to try an Agile but never had the opportunity. I think Rondo is the only place to order one on this side of the Atlantic. I've read great things about them.

Is that the new Player Strat that was introduced a couple of years ago? It's a great guitar.

Live, I like something with a smaller form factor than the ES-335, like a Les Paul or a Strat if I need a wiggly tail.

It looks so awesome. I want to buy an electric guitar for my sister. She plays it really well, much better than me and I really want to support her talent.
Can you please suggest me one?

Yeah, it is. I traded in a Professional Model Strat with the V Mod pickups last year for a different guitar. I’m actually a lot happier with the way the Player sounds. Neck was nicer on the Pro though.

Thanks! I remember the day it arrived via UPS, I was really nervous unboxing it, and then was floored by its beauty, couldn’t find a flaw on it anywhere. It was the very first guitar I ever bought sight unseen, so the anxiety was very high, especially since this was nearly 20 years ago and inexpensive usually meant low quality. I have to say, comparing it to my 90 Les Paul, there really isn’t much difference cosmetically or tone wise. I don’t know what the newer Agiles are like, but this one is still going strong all these years later.

My 2018 Gretsch G5420TG. I like it more every time I play it.

First time I ever ordered a guitar sight unseen was back in 2004 or 2005. I ended up ordering one new from Sam Ash and a couple others from eBay during a two year span. They all ended up great buys and I still have them - two of them I gigged. Yes, there was some anxiety ordering online back then for me.

Enjoy your 'vintage' Agile!

Currently its this beauty. I use this one for recording. It's had half a dozen different pickup combos and two necks in it's life. Mahogany body, swamp ash top, conversion scale maple/maple neck, 1 3/4ths nut. The P90s are a low wind w/ alnico8 magnets, 6.6k bridge. All Budz of course.

Hey Stephen, is that a Talkovich guitar? . Cool that it has a conversion scale neck, something I want to try on one of my Strats.
