Been playing my newish Tele partscaster a lot lately - a Squier CV50's neck and hardware (other than black abalone knobs), and a GFS Daphne Blue lightweight Paulownia body.

The original builder of these guitars Tony Zemaitis, sold a bunch of pearl tops to rockstars, and they were quite popular, but even though mine is kind of ornate, I never got the appeal of those.

Here's a little history on the guy...

Here's my other Zemaitis guitars and frankly they are all GREAT. I modified each one to my taste...

I don't play electric much, but when I do, I typically reach for this one (Fender Baja Telecaster):

I'm down to two. The Rickenbacker's the go-to for standard tuning, the Hondo (yes, Hondo) is the go-to for open G and a spot'o'slide.

My (highly modded) Yamaha Pacifica 012. I've upgraded the tuners, control knobs, Tusq nut, Tusq saddles, Seymour Duncan single-sized bridge humbucker in the neck, Dimarzio middle pickup, and Bill Lawrence XL500 in the bridge.

Mine is a Music Man Axis Sport & Super Sport. Greatest guitars being made, especially this model.

Nice Rick! The Hondo is pretty cool too! It looks like a Fender Lead II.

Mine is my early 2000’s Agile 2500. I bought it new, but don’t remember exactly what year. It has the early style “lawsuit” headstock. Plays great, looks great, I think it was right around $200 brand new almost 20 years ago. I have a dozen other electrics, but this is the one I always grab.
