Default Any pedal that can give an electric a acoustic sound?

Or close?
I have some songs that need an acoustic sound
I thought about getting an thin line guitar that has a pick up and a piezo but a pedal would be cheaper
Hate to spend a lot on a half dozen songs

Boss AC-3. My buddy had/used one. It wasn't terrible.

My main gigging guitar (Rainsong) was in the shop getting frets taken care of and I needed something quick for 2 outdoor gigs in ridiculous heat/humidity, so I grabbed one of these, https://www.amazon.com/Koogo-Acousti...s%2C143&sr=8-1for $33! Not gonna fool anybody into thinking it's an acoustic, but it does an ok job with my Casino and Tele, it gives that piezo zing. If u don't like it, you're out $33 or u can return it...BTW, I used it with another eq pedal.

Yup. You have to spend a nice chunk of change to get significant improvement over the cheap stuff.

I was in the same situation, and picked up a 20 year old Digitech "multi-effects" pedal. Paid the same or less than you. It ended being awesome for headphone practice after I didn't need the acoustic thing anymore! Had a ton of modulation effects, delay, reverb, etc.

+1, AC-3 Acoustic Simulator and isn't too expensive. Nice but not great.

The Zoom G1X Four has an acoustic setting. It's ok if you are just going to limp through a few songs. For the price you do get a lot of fun electric tones and a looper to play with which makes it worthwhile. Not $33 cheap but still a bargain.

Not to discount what others are saying, just my experience: they all suck. Certainly for live performance, and IMO even for basic home use. Including the Boss pedal, which I bought and couldn't return fast enough. I'd say get a cheap acoustic on Craigslist or play your electric on the neck pickup.

in a "band" kind of setting, where there's some acoustic guitar in the mix that kind makes the song work? yea.. The Boss simulator actually can do a decent job. It's not going to fool anyone for doing like James Taylor stuff, but... if you're not asking that, it'd probably work for you

+1 I used to use one for gigging. Totally acceptable in giving the band an acoustic rhythm sound for one or two numbers.
Obviously wouldn't work as a fingerpicker. Small and neat too.
